Although it has been a few days since I last communicated with families and patrons, there is little to report since my last message. Monday night we did receive notice from the Oregon Department of Education….
If your student is having trouble with their Chromebook or another device, or they cannot recall their login, there is the IMESD Helpdesk Support for Families and Students
We have received no new information over the weekend from the Oregon Department of Education or the Governor’s Office. So, unfortunately, we have no answers regarding seniors, graduation, or emergency closure in general.
Effective Monday, March 30th, IMESD IT will be providing a toll-free number for students and families technical support during school closures.
Below are five ways adults can support children and each other as well as work to main a sense of normalcy in these times with so many unanswered questions.
I wish I had something to share for our seniors and parents, but as of this morning, we are still in a wait and see pattern. Here is a summary of what has and hasn’t happened to date regarding our seniors.
Meals: We are implementing what we hope is a smoother process to receive meals at the PELC and Washington Elementary utilizing a “drive-thru” strategy.
The parent response to receiving supplemental materials and Chromebooks for students to work from home has exceeded our expectations.
