Dear Parents/Guardians: (Print this letter - PDF)
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! I hope that the summer has treated you all well and that your student(s) are ready for the beginning of another great school year.
This year, registration will take place differently than in the past as we will have only one day for the open registration. This will take place on August 16th, from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm. The format in the building will be the same, with all of the stations being housed on first floor. You will start at the west side of the hallway and finish at the main office window. It is important that you come in to register your student during this time. If you are unable to attend on this day, please call Becky Anderson at (541) 966-3804.
There are a few items that I would like to inform you of as we roll into the 2016-2017 school year. The first change this year has been in staff here at Pendleton High School. New to the building are science and engineering teacher Michael Dinkel, Spanish and French teacher Aara Zweifel, PE and health teacher Josh Linehan, mathematics teacher Andrew Griggs, special education teacher Sarah Gaulke, and welding and engineering teacher Marty Campbell.
On another note, with all of the events that come up here at Pendleton High School, it is important to have one location where you can go to get all of the information. There are two such locations, one being the high school web page. This page is regularly being updated with information and pictures. There is a calendar link on that page that shows all events, including athletics and others. The following link is one that will direct you to the Columbia River Conference calendar for PHS where we also have the events listed, both athletic and otherwise.
Another adjustment this year will be to the bell schedule. In an attempt to better utilize the schedule and at the request of staff and students alike, the advisory period has been adjusted to later in the schedule. Please review it and let us know if you have any questions. - View the Bell Schedule Online
On a separate note, if you are attempting to get into Home Access, please ensure that you go through the website link as it has changed since last year. The date for pictures this fall is September 2nd. Students will receive a picture packet prior to this date, but all students will need to have their picture taken as these photos are used for the computer system, student ID cards, and for news releases on behalf of students. Additionally, we will be hosting an open house at Pendleton High School on September 8th. More details will be sent out with your student at a later date.
If you have any concerns about any aspect of your student’s schooling, feel free to contact the teacher concerned, a guidance counselor, a secretary, or an administrator. We welcome your inquiries and the ability to help your student have a successful experience at Pendleton High School.
