Hospitality & Tourism Pathway

PHS Culinary Arts is a program of study designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for cooking basic foods, and to broaden their awareness and tastes for a wider variety of cuisines. Over the course of high school, students enrolled in Foods 1 through 4 are introduced to proteins, sauces, knife skills and more complex cooking methods, to name a few.  Students will build on the culinary skills they learn at each level, while expanding their food knowledge and taste buds along the way. In addition, students that show an interest and aptitude for the food industry can try out for our culinary team that competes every year through our Student Leadership Organization, FCCLA.
