Advanced Placement (AP) courses offer students some of our most challenging opportunities. We currently offer five AP courses: AP World History, AP English Language, AP English Literature, AP US History, and AP Government. These courses are tough, and require a lot of reading, writing, and outside of class studying.
There are many benefits for students taking AP courses. The rigor of the courses helps prepare students for college level classes. Most four-year colleges give students college credit, based on their AP test score, and taking AP courses can also help students applying for college scholarships.
You can find our more information about AP courses at the College Board’s website.
