On Wednesday, April 11, PHS students had the opportunity to contemplate what they want to do after high school. The annual Career Day brought dozens of community business owners and leaders to PHS to talk about their industry and how to prepare for entering the workforce. Students traveled to different classrooms to listen to speakers based on career fields the students had interest in.
A large Job Fair in the Gold Gym featured dozens of booths highlighting companies ranging from Umatilla County and the U.S. Armed Services to Cayuse Technologies and Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution. The businesses promoted summer employment, internships and an introduction to careers in their field.
"Career Day once again offered a great variety of fields that students may be interested in pursuing," said Dan Greenough, PHS Principal. "We appreciate all the business representatives who took the time to participate and connect with our students."
